The first International Parveen Shaker Literary Festival will be held on April 20

The first International Parveen Shakir Literary Festival will be held in Toronto on Saturday, April 20.

Intellectuals, writers and poets from Pakistan, America and Canada are participating in this festival.

Syed Murad Ali, the son of Parveen Shakir, the poetess of Khushboo, said that the life and poetry of Parveen Shaker will be discussed in the literary festival and his poetry will also be read.

He said that the literary relations between Canada and Pakistan will also be discussed and at the end a global exhibition will be held.

Syed Murad Ali said that Parveen Qadir Agha, Hamida Shaheen, Dr. Ziaur Rehman and Mazharul Islam are coming from Pakistan, while other speakers and poets include Nazimuddin Maqbool, Dr. Asad Naseer, Dr. Syed Taqi Abidi, Karamatullah Ghori, Nasreen Syed, Rida. Fatima, Ijaz Shafi, Zakia Ghazal, Dr. Ahmad Nadeem Rafi, Asma Warsi, Parveen Sultan Saba, Derakhshan Siddiqui, Junaid Akhtar, Asim Jasser and Basharat Ahmad Rehan are included.

Consul General of Pakistan Khalil Bajwa and Canadian Members of Parliament Iqra Khalid and Shafqat Ali will be the chief guests.
