The head coach of the national team may rest Babar Azam in the series against New Zealand

Rawalpindi: The head coach of the national cricket team, Azhar Mehmood, has said that Babar Azam can be rested in the series against New Zealand.

Speaking to the media at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, Azhar Mehmood, the national team coach, said that the series against New Zealand is very important, but we are very satisfied with our squad.

He said that there are two all-rounder fast bowlers in the team as well as the best batsman, the team has become stronger with the arrival of Amir and Imad K.

Azhar Mahmood said that the New Zealand team that came to Pakistan has good players who have their best record while no team is weak in T20. He said that there are 12 important matches before the World Cup, when they play the first match on June 6, they will have learned enough.

The head coach said that there are high hopes for Abbas Afridi, Naseem Shah, Shaheen Afridi while I like Amir Jamal a lot because he can be a great all-rounder in the future.

He said that for a better side, he will experiment during the New Zealand series, if we have more openers, we can make changes while Babar Azam can also get a chance to rest.

Azhar Mehmood said that Pakistan has many talented players, now we just have to work on making them players of international competitions. In the first match against New Zealand, it will be known which players do the opening.
