Islamabad: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has warned Pakistan of risks despite its economic stability, admitting that the country’s economy has improved.
The country report of Pakistan issued by the IMF has said that Pakistan’s economy has improved, but despite economic stability, the economy is facing threats.
The report said that inflation in Pakistan is gradually decreasing and economic stability has returned to a moderate growth rate.
The IMF has said that Pakistan’s economic outlook faces several challenges, policy reforms must continue for strong and sustainable economic growth.
The government has been urged by the IMF to strictly implement the fiscal targets and to protect the poor and structural reforms.
The country report further states that the signs of economic stability of Pakistan are strong and market based exchange rate policy should be maintained.
