The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly passed a resolution for the release of PTI founder and Bushra Bibi

Peshawar: In the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, the resolution for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan and former first lady Bushra Bibi was approved by a numerical majority.

According to the details, in the meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, former speaker Mushtaq Ghani presented a resolution demanding the release of the founder PTI and Bushra Bibi.

The resolution states that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been illegally detained and therefore this House demands their immediate release.

Apart from this, the resolution has demanded a judicial inquiry into the May 9 incidents and making the CCTV footage of military installations and other places public.

The government members approved the resolution while the opposition members opposed it.

Opposition leader Ibadullah raised objection to calling the meeting without the Governor’s approval and termed the action as unconstitutional.

After completing the proceedings, the speaker adjourned the meeting till 2 pm on Monday.
