The Pakistani film won two awards at the South Asian International Film Festival

Florida: Pakistani short film ‘Jaman Ka Dram’ won the ‘Best Short Film’ and ‘Best Actor’ awards at the South Asian International Film Festival.

The director of the film, Rafi Rashidi, gave the good news to his fans on Instagram, saying that this is the first award he has received in his life.

This is the fourth international award the film has won, the film also won the ‘Best Social Justice Short Film’ category at the Cannes Film Festival.

The story of the film, which is based on husband-wife relationship and domestic violence, is written by B Gill, while the film is produced by Faisal Kapadia.

The trailer of ‘Jaman Ke Dhram’ was released last January, revealing that the story of the short film covers themes of man-woman relationship, harassment, sexual assault and lust.

The film features Adnan Siddiqui in the negative role of Kareem, a prominent person in the showbiz industry. The cast of the film also includes Adnan Siddiqui, Maha Tahrani and Fauzia Aman.
