The prime minister formed an inquiry committee to investigate the import of wheat

Islamabad: The Prime Minister has formed an inquiry committee headed by Secretary Cabinet Division regarding the import of wheat, which will determine the responsible parties and submit a report.

According to the details, a high-level review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif regarding the current situation of wheat reserves in the country.

In the conversation with the participants, the Prime Minister said that by the grace of Allah, there has been a bumper crop of wheat this year, it should be ensured that there is no delay in the purchase of wheat and all necessary steps should be taken regarding the purchase of wheat.

The Prime Minister said that the farmers should be compensated for their hard work soon. The Prime Minister inquired about the import of wheat last year from the Ministry of National Food Security. was taken

The Prime Minister has formed an inquiry committee regarding the import of wheat. Secretary Cabinet Division will head the inquiry committee.

Federal Ministers Ahad Khan Cheema, Rana Tanveer Hussain, Muhammad Aurangzeb, Jam Kamal Khan, Prime Minister’s Coordinator Rana Ehsan Afzal and relevant senior officials participated in the meeting.

Earlier, in the scandal of buying extra wheat and expensive fertilizer, the additional secretary in charge of food was removed from the post on the instructions of the prime minister, while grade 22 officer Fakhar Alam was appointed as the federal secretary of the Ministry of National Food Security.
