Production of 4 million tonnes of sugar and 3 crore tonnes of fertilizer could not be monitored electronically, while in the tobacco sector, apart from a few major companies, others refused to install the system.

The Prime Minister had given the task to the Finance Secretary

Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif tasked the Finance Secretary to identify the officers responsible for the delay in the implementation of the track and trace system and directed that the officers involved in the delay be identified within 72 hours.
