The United States vetoed the resolution of Palestine’s permanent membership in the United Nations, 12 member states of the Security Council supported granting Palestine permanent membership.

According to foreign media, Great Britain and Switzerland avoided voting on the resolution, the resolution could not be passed despite the support of the majority of the Security Council members, the resolution on the permanent membership of Palestine could not be approved after the US veto.

It should be noted that since October 7, the United States has used the veto for the fourth time in support of Israel. Palestine has had a non-member observer status in the United Nations since 2012.

According to the news agency, while reacting to the US veto, the Palestinian presidency said that the US move to veto the request is unfair and immoral, and we condemn it.

The Israeli foreign minister says that the Palestinian state will not be rewarded for terrorism, the shameful proposal was rejected in the Security Council, the Israeli foreign minister also praised the American initiative to veto it.
