Dera Ismail Khan: Two terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire during an operation by security forces in Dera Ismail Khan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to a statement issued by the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the security forces conducted an operation in Dera Ismail Khan based on a tip-off.
ISPR said that during the operation of the security forces, there was a heavy exchange of fire with the terrorists, as a result of which two terrorists Faheem Nawaz alias Gandapuri and Mohsin Nawaz were killed.
The statement said that arms, ammunition and explosives have been recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists and that the slain terrorists were carrying out major terrorist activities against the security forces in the area and killing innocent civilians including target killing and extortion. I was involved.
The ISPR said that operations are ongoing in view of the possibility of any terrorist presence in the area and the Pakistan Armed Forces are committed to eradicating the scourge of terrorism from the country.
