Water supply to Karachi suspended once again
KARACHI: Water crisis in Shahr-e-Quaid has raised its head once again due to non-supply of electricity at Hub Pumping Station, immediate supply is not possible.
In this regard, according to the report of RY News, the rising main line of 66 inch MS has been severely affected due to power breakdown.
As soon as the information was received, the Water Corporation officials reached the spot and inspected the affected line.
On this occasion, Chief Engineer Water Corporation informed that the repair work of the line will be completed in the next 72 hours.
The Chief Engineer said that the supply of water to the city from the Hub Dam has been temporarily suspended, some areas of the western and central districts will be affected if the line is affected.
Karachi Water Board officials have requested the concerned citizens to use water very carefully.
