Will continue to raise the voice for the rights and freedoms of the Sikhs; Kennedy the Prime Minister

In the presence of Justin Trudeau, Sikhs raised slogans of secession from India and long live Khalistan

Ottawa: Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, addressing a gathering of Sikhs on Khalsa Day (Basakhi), promised that his government would protect the ‘rights and freedoms’ of Sikhs in the country.

According to the World News Agency, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau further said that there are about 8 lakh Sikhs living in Canada, whose protection is our duty. Sikhs will not allow Baradi to suffer hatred and discrimination.

Justin Trudeau added that under Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms, you, like other citizens of the country, have every right to practice your religion knowingly and without threat.

On this occasion, the Sikhs also raised slogans in favor of separation from India and Khalistan. Four cabinet ministers and four members of parliament from the Liberal Party were also present on stage along with the Prime Minister of Canada.

Posters and pictures of the slain leader of Khalistan, Hardeep Singh Nagar, who was killed in Canada on June 18 last year, were displayed everywhere in the ceremony. In the light of the Prime Minister’s investigation, India was held responsible for the murder.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau presented evidence of the murder in his press conference and urged India to identify those involved in the murder.

Both the countries had expelled each other’s diplomats and the tension between the two countries is still there.
