2 friends were killed in the firing of drug dealers in Karachi

Karachi: In Korangi Bilal Colony, drug dealers killed 2 friends by firing indiscriminately and escaped.

According to the police, the victims were going home after closing their shops when the accused ambushed them with a motorcycle and knocked them down, fired more than a dozen bullets and escaped. The deceased belonged to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and interior Sindh.

The incident took place near Garib Nawaz Masjid, Lashari Medical Store, Bilal Colony, Main Road, Industrial Area, Korangi. The deceased friends were identified as 36-year-old Imtiaz son of Nisar Ahmed and 40-year-old Muhammad Ali. The deceased Imtiaz was a resident of Korangi Industrial Area Sector 8C Bilal Colony and father of 6 children and was a vehicle mechanic. He has a garage near Bilal Chowrangi. He was originally from Kohat.

The deceased Muhammad Ali Kurangi was a resident of Bengali Bazaar, Bilal Colony and father of 5 children while he was a motorcycle mechanic and owned the same shop as the deceased Imtiaz’s shop. The victims were childhood friends. Ancestry was from Nowshehro Firoz in Sindh.

According to eyewitnesses, around 11:30 pm on Sunday night, Imtiaz and Muhammad Ali were returning home after finishing work at the shop, when 3 persons riding a 125 motorcycle came to Bilal Colony main market street and they first hit Muhammad Ali’s motorcycle. He fell by hitting and then fired indiscriminately. The accused initially fired 4 bullets at both of them and left. After going some distance, the accused returned and once again shot at both of them and then fled from the spot brandishing weapons.

According to local residents, the three suspects who opened fire are drug dealers and dacoits. The three were caught by the police some time ago by Imtiaz and Muhammad Ali. The accused have killed both to take their revenge.

Eyewitnesses say that the accused fired more than a dozen shots, in which 6 bullets hit the deceased Imtiaz and 2 bullets hit Muhammad Ali. The police have found 3 shells of 30 bore pistol from the spot. The police handed over the bodies of the deceased to the heirs after postmortem and post-mortem at Jinnah Hospital.

On the other hand, a case of murder of 2 friends in the firing incident in Korangi Bilal Colony has been registered against 5 accused under the section of murder charge number 24/559. In the case, 5 accused Sultan, Nader, Nauman alias Shahu Pathan, Danish and an unknown accused have been named. Police have started efforts to get footage from CCTV cameras while investigations are underway.
