IG Police Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon, while vowing to eliminate criminal elements, has formed a special task force in the province to rid Sindh of the menace of drugs. In this regard, communication has been started with all the SPs of Sindh through daily video link. The IG Police said that the scourge of drugs has given the gift of cancer to the young generation, the time has come to free the people of Sindh from this scourge.

He said that action should be taken against the scourge of narcotics, Gatka, Mawa, Z-Ace. Departmental and legal action will be taken against DSPs, SHOs and Head Editors who are involved in facilitating or patronizing crimes, if anyone surrenders, we will give him justice. All including big drug dealers, wholesalers will be wiped out, cash rewards and certificates will also be given to motivate officers and officials with good performance. On the other hand, all DIGs including Additional IG Sindh of Police Special Branch participated in the video link conference of IG Police Sindh.

On the other hand, the activities of criminals are also continuing in Shaheed Benazirabad district. According to the report, robbers have become rampant in a month, in various cities of the district, including Qazi Ahmad Skrand, Dolatpur, Ord, Motor Bicycle-riding robbers deprived citizens of cash and mobile phones. A cattle trader near Qazi Ahmed, Abdul Qayyum Qureshi, was robbed of Rs 8 lakh by armed motorcyclists and fled. On Sirhari Road, motorcycle-riding robbers took mobile phones and one lakh rupees from employees of a medical company, while four and a half lakh rupees were taken from Talha, who was depositing money in a bank.

On the other hand, Abdul Rahim Lashari’s 10-year-old daughter Reema was kidnapped on 60 Mile Road, whose body was recovered from the Sadawa canal after 15 days. However, in this regard, SSP Amir Saud Magsi said that two suspects, Rajab and Niban Lashari, have been arrested, while a 14-year-old student named Nadeem Marri committed suicide by hanging a trap in a tree in the village near Skarund.

As far as the incidents of robbers were concerned, when contacted in this regard, SSP Amir Saud Magsi said that two gangs of robbers who came from Shahdadpur, committed successive incidents and created fear in the city. An atmosphere of harassment had been created. The police accepted the challenge and within 24 hours arrested both groups of robbers and recovered the stolen cash and mobile phones and handed them over to their owners. He said that dacoit Amjad Careo was arrested in an encounter within the limits of A Section Police Station.

While five drug dealers were arrested and a huge quantity of drugs recovered. The SSP said that the police arrested eight dacoits with injuries during a month, while the ganging of the dacoits was foiled. A seminar was organized by the SSP at the SP House, in which suggestions were discussed to improve the investigation of the investigating officers. Judicial Magistrate and DSPs participated in the seminar. Police officers and SHOs of the district also participated in the seminar.

On this occasion, the SSP said that the investigating officers should make the cases in such a way that the accused could not get any concession. Addressing the seminar, the judicial magistrate told the investigation officers in the light of his experiences that if the case is made with all aspects, there is no reason why the accused cannot be punished. He said that the cases were made in haste. The lawyer of the accused gets the benefit and he gets rid of his client easily and because of this the public trust in the courts is undermined in the society on the one hand and on the other hand the accused commits the crime again.

The speakers who participated in the seminar said that criminals are also getting benefit because of the loopholes in the law. He said that such amendments should be made in the law and such laws should be framed in which the criminals can be definitely punished. SSP Amir Saud Magsi said that the police officers who are given the investigation should be bound to appear in the court till the end of the case and complete the case with full preparation. Unfortunately, if the police make a weak case, then the accused get away with it and the main reason for this is the lack of preparation for the case.
