Consul General of Afghanistan in Mumbai resigns after being accused of gold smuggling

Afghanistan’s female consul general in Mumbai, India has resigned after being accused of gold smuggling.

Zakia Wardak was appointed Consul General in Mumbai by the Ashraf Ghani government. He announced his resignation after being accused of smuggling 25 kg of gold in the Indian media.

Zakia Wardak said that her character is being assassinated, these attacks have now become ‘unbearable’.
