Covid vaccine AstraZeneca can cause rare form of deadly blood clot, European company admits

British Swedish pharma company AstraZeneca has admitted for the first time that its Covid vaccine can cause a rare type of blood clot, which can be fatal.

AstraZeneca’s covid vaccine Covishield is widely used in more than 150 countries.

A lawsuit filed in the UK claims AstraZeneca’s Covid vaccine caused death and serious injury and is seeking up to £100m in damages for around 50 victims.

AstraZeneca has admitted in court for the first time that its Covid vaccine rarely causes a condition called TTS, which involves blood clotting and a lack of platelets.
