bill to: In Afghanistan, the number of people who died due to heavy rain in the last 5 days has reached 70.

According to the report of the foreign news agency AFP, the spokesperson of the Disaster Management Department of the Afghan government, Janan Saiq, said that 70 people have lost their lives as a result of the rain between Saturday and Wednesday.

He said that 56 civilians were injured and there were financial losses, in which 2600 houses were damaged or destroyed and 95 thousand acres of agricultural land were flooded.

Earlier, last week, Janan Sayeeq said that the number of deaths due to rain was low, and that most of the cases were due to the roofs of the houses collapsing.

It should be noted that the United Nations warned last year that climate change may have the worst effects in Afghanistan.

After four decades of war, Afghanistan is among the least prepared countries in the world to deal with climate change, while scientists believe climate change could become more dangerous.

In the eastern regions of Afghanistan, 25 people were killed by snowfall and landslides in February this year, while the death toll rose to 60 in three weeks at the end of March.
