Dhaka: The sun has been blazing across several Asian countries, including Bangladesh, the Philippines and Thailand, bringing normal life to a standstill while schools are closed.

According to the World News Agency, the temperature in South Sudan reached 45, while it remained at 43 in Bangladesh. Similarly, the heat is on the rise in the Philippines, Thailand, India and Pakistan.

Due to the heat wave and extreme heat, school holidays were canceled in Bangladesh, Philippines and India, while economic and business activities came to a standstill. Citizens have been instructed not to leave their homes unnecessarily.
