Farewell month of Ramadan! – Express Urdu

Such a blessed month is about to be hidden from us in which a large number of sinners were forgiven daily. Photo: File

The ruler of the months has come to leave us after the shadow of the month of Ramadan. This blessed month will disappear from us after a few days. The bright moments of Suhoor and the blessed hours of Iftar are now bidding us farewell.

A great worship like Taraweeh is about to be separated from us. Such a blessed month is about to be hidden from us in which a large number of sinners were forgiven daily. The Muslims, who recognized his great value and status, were able to gather many blessings and blessings in their feet and wrote a certificate of forgiveness for themselves.

He cleansed his soul of pollution. But those who could not recognize its value and status and spent this month like normal months, were deprived of good. However, the month of Ramadan came to purify our hearts from impurities. He came to purify from the impurity of carnal desires. He came to purify our polluted soul. This blessed month came to change our sins into good deeds. This month came to give us the pleasure of worship.

He came to exalt with the sweetness of faith. He came to correct the physical system. He came to give a needle to our mental chaos. He came to clear the clutter of our thoughts. He came to illuminate with the light of piety. He came to enrich himself with the wealth of piety. He came to create a spiritual revolution. Mujahidana had come to make a brother of life. But our disbelief deprived us of the virtues and blessings of this blessed month. We could not pay dues for this month.

During the time of the Prophet ﷺ, as the days of the month of Ramadan passed, the worship of the Companions increased. As soon as the last nights of the month of Ramadan came, the Companions would spend those blessed nights crying in the presence of God. This was also the teaching of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and this was also the blessed action of the Prophet ﷺ.

Hazrat Aisha (RA) says that when the last decade of the month of Ramadan came, the worship of the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) would increase, so he himself would wake up in those nights and would also wake up his family members.

but alas! Our society spends the last days of Ramadan in the highways and bazaars to be busy in turning to Allah. People don’t even follow the duties of Nawafil. It seems that the month of Ramadan is not a month of worship but a month of shopping and shopping. We sacrificed the bright moments of Ramadan for idle affairs.

Hazrat Syedna Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani says: “The month of Ramadan is the month of heart cleansing, the month of remembrancers, righteous and patient.” If this month is not effective in reforming your heart and removing you from disobedience to Allah and separating you from the criminals, then what will affect your heart, then what good can be expected from you. What is left in you? What salvation can be expected for you?

Wake up from sleep and negligence and spend the rest of the month with repentance and turning to Allah. It is not possible to gain profit in it with seeking forgiveness and worship, so be among those who receive the mercy and grace of Allah. Say goodbye to this month with a river of tears and wailing loudly and wailing over your wretched self, for there are many fasting people who will not be able to fast the next year. And how many worshipers there are who will not be able to worship in the future. And when the laborer is freed from work, he is given wages. Now we are also freed from this process.

But if only we could know whether our fasts and stays are popular or not, if only we could know who among us is popular. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that many fasting people do not get anything except hunger and thirst, and they only get sleeplessness in staying up at night.

O month of Ramadan, peace be upon you. O month of forgiveness! Salutations to you. O month of faith! Salutations to you. (O Month of Ramadan) So it was a month of imprisonment for the sinners and for the pious. O Allah! Make us among those whose fasts and prayers You accepted, changed their evil deeds into good deeds, admitted them to Paradise with Your mercy and raised their ranks. Amen.” (Reference: Ghaniya Talibeen)

It is time to wake up from sleeplessness and spend the last days of this month in seeking Allah. Who will be able to pass this month next year and who will be buried in the dust before its shadow fades. May Allah Almighty grant us all the opportunity to appreciate Ramadan and make this month a month of mercy, forgiveness and release from hell for us, enlighten our hearts with the light of piety. Amen
