Financial crisis on one side, funds for luxury cars on the other

The government of Azad Kashmir should approve the provision of funds for the purchase of new and luxury vehicles worth more than one billion rupees despite the financial deficit and the budget cuts of the federal government on the one hand and the severe financial crisis in Azad Kashmir on the other hand. In defense of this wasteful expenditure, the Minister of Transport on the floor of the Assembly gave an inappropriate and unsatisfactory answer to the opposition member of the assembly on the purchase of new luxury vehicles and said, “I have fifty rickshaws of my own, I can tell about them, luxury vehicles.” The Prime Minister himself can tell if the members can give each rickshaw to them.

Prime Minister Sardar Tanveer Ilyas said that new vehicles are our need. Even the opposition can get new vehicles. Despite the financial crisis of the Azad Kashmir government, luxury is reaching such an extent that gold mining has started from the mountains of Kashmir. Political instability. Due to the hanging sword of no-confidence on the Prime Minister has opened another door of blackmailing, anti-merit appointments are on the rise in various departments, construction work has stopped on the projects, Public Works Department, Shahrat Buildings, Public Health and Maintenance 2019 Hundreds of work charge employees appointed against the annual maintenance have been dismissed. Hundreds of families are affected by the release of these small employees. There are Hafiz Quran reciters including Quli Khadim and Seer Plumber Helper who were barely making ends meet.

How will these people survive in the severe wave of inflation, the rulers elected on the basis of vote slips do not have any answer. These temporary employees were paid due to construction work. Like the rest of the country, in Azad Kashmir, a large number of people living below the poverty line are being forced to beg. The two-month-long session of the legislation was postponed for a week so that the TADA of the members of the assembly and other employees continued to be formed. One day costs four crores of rupees. Expenses of rupees are coming due to government wasteful expenditure, ministers and assembly members are getting monthly benefits of crores of rupees, while the problems of the people are increasing day by day.

During the last two years, the legislative assembly has not passed a single law in the interest of the people of Azad Kashmir, which will reduce the problems of the poor, while they will get privileges worth billions of rupees in the name of meetings, due to the extravagant spending of the rulers. The effects of inflation are on the common man, laborers, farmers and those with low income, while the privileges of the rulers are continuously increasing. But instead they are looking for new sources of income day by day due to which the entire burden of inflation is falling on the common man.

The Azad Kashmir government reinstated the 1,666 employees who were dismissed by the Tehreek-e-Insaf government during the PML-N’s rule through the Ad Hoc Act of the then Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider Khan. A ray of hope has been seen for them after keeping Pakistan Azad Kashmir and Pakistanis and Kashmiris living all over the world.

Despite the passage of 75 years, the struggle for freedom is continuing with full vigor. Thirty-one years ago today, on the appeal of late Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmed, this day was celebrated with full enthusiasm as a form of solidarity with the tragedy of August 5, 2019. Despite India’s failure to establish its foothold in Kashmir, the Kashmiri people have never accepted India’s illegal occupation and even today, the Kashmiri people are patiently and steadfastly fighting against this illegal and forced occupation.

Kashmiris are not ready to live with India despite sacrificing life and property, honor and integrity. Do not join, it cannot be long-term and workable, nor can negotiations without Kashmiris be workable or acceptable regarding the issue of Kashmir. The worst violations of human rights in Kashmir, the forced partition of the state and the 1259 military siege from August 5, 2019 to date, and the continuous silence of the government and political leadership of Pakistan during the darkest days of state repression is extremely painful for the one and a half million people of the occupied part of the state. And it is disappointing that it is the constitutional and national responsibility of the government of Pakistan and its national institutions that they are not playing the most active resistance role against Indian imperialism, cruelty and brutality. Freedom is killing them instead of demanding rights and justice, but Kashmiris will surely see the sun of their freedom rising.
