Imran Khan filed an application in the Islamabad High Court against the ban on political statements

Islamabad: The founder chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf filed a petition in the Islamabad High Court against the ban on political statements and talks with the media.

According to the details, during the hearing in Adiala Jail, the accountability court had banned the statements of Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi regarding political or any institution and personality.

Now Imran Khan has challenged the ban imposed by the accountability court in the Islamabad High Court and his lawyer Salman Akram Raja has filed an application.

In the petition, it has been argued that the accountability court in the judgment said that the PTI founder should refrain from making statements against the state institutions and that the media should limit its reporting only to the extent of the trial.

Imran Khan took a position in the petition that the accountability court said in the judgment that the media should not report the statements of lawyers and witnesses, while no restriction can be imposed on the rights of journalists present in the open court and journalists should not be allowed to speak to lawyers, witnesses or witnesses during the trial. The statements of the accused cannot be stopped from broadcasting.

It has been argued in the petition that Article 19 of the Constitution allows the statement of the accused and the media to report the statement. has the right.

The petition states that the April 19 order of the accountability court is against Article 19 and 19A of the Constitution, so the order of April 19 should be declared null and void and the accountability court should not be stopped from giving political statements to the founder PTI. Orders should be issued.

In the application, it is requested that orders should be given to the accountability court not to prevent the media from broadcasting the statements made by any person, and the order of the accountability court of April 19 should be suspended until the decision on the application is made.
