Indian army vehicle crashed into a deep ditch; One officer killed and 9 injured
Srinagar: An Indian army vehicle crashed into a deep ditch in Islamabad district of Occupied Kashmir, as a result of which one officer was killed and 9 injured.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the occupying Indian army vehicle was on routine patrol. Due to high speed, the driver went out of control and fell into a ditch several feet deep.
There were 10 personnel in the occupying Indian Army vehicle, one of whom died on the spot while the other 9 personnel were seriously injured and were shifted to the hospital.
One official died in the hospital while undergoing treatment, while the condition of 8 others is also said to be critical. An inquiry committee was formed to investigate the accident.
The spokesperson of the Indian Army says that there is no evidence of the involvement of the terrorist element in the accident. The dead bodies of the slain officials were sent to their native areas after necessary operations.
