Inflation rate in the country decreased to 17.3%

Islamabad: In the last month of April, the rate of inflation in the country decreased to 17.3 percent.
The Federal Bureau of Statistics released data regarding inflation, according to which the inflation rate was recorded at 20.7 percent in March 2024. In April 2024, this rate was recorded at 17.3% after a decrease of 3.4%.
Urban areas recorded a 0.1 percent drop in inflation to 19.4 percent, while rural areas saw a 0.9 percent decline, resulting in a rate of 14.5 percent.
It should be noted that the rate of inflation was recorded at 36.4% in April 2023, while the average rate was recorded at 25.97% in the first ten months of the current fiscal year 2023-24 from July to April.
