Institutional response should be given to any interference, suggestions to Supreme Court of Islamabad High Court

Islamabad: Important progress has been made on the matter of six judges’ letter, the Islamabad High Court has sent the agreed proposals to the Supreme Court which have come out.

According to Express News, Judges’ Code of Conduct draft has also been included as a proposal by the Islamabad High Court. This Code of Conduct draft consists of six to seven pages.

According to the sources, it has been said in the proposals that there should be an institutional response to any kind of interference, civil judge, session judge, high court judge should be obliged to report any kind of interference, it is necessary to report the interference within seven days. The judge who did not report the interference within seven days was found guilty of misconduct.

It has been suggested that the Civil Judge, Sessions Judge and Sessions Judge inform the Inspection Judge of the High Court in case of interference, the Inspection Judge brings the matter of interference to the notice of the Chief Justice of the High Court, the High Court Administrative Committee looks into the matter on the administrative side or judicially. Take the final decision to look at the side and the Administrative Committee may send it to the Full Court in view of the seriousness of the matter.

According to the sources, it has also been suggested that ultimately the High Court can exercise its power of contempt of court with institutional consensus.
