Rawalpindi, security tight regarding May 9

Security has been tightened in Rawalpindi regarding May 9.

Yesterday, a meeting was held at Police Lines Headquarters under the chairmanship of CPO Khalid Hamdani, in which senior police officers including SSP Operations participated.

According to the police spokesperson, security measures were reviewed in the meeting and instructions were given to the officers.

CPO Rawalpindi says that Section 144 is enforced across Punjab, no illegal assembly is allowed, senior officers will monitor security in the field themselves.

He further said that those who disturb peace and order will be dealt with iron hands, legal action will be taken against those who organize illegal assembly, rally or encourage it.
