Prime Minister orders immediate purchase of wheat from farmers

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif immediately ordered the purchase of wheat from farmers.
According to Express News, Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif increased the wheat procurement target by taking strict notice and taking immediate action on the complaints received from the farmers.
Before leaving for Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister ordered the immediate purchase of wheat from the farmers by the federal government. He increased the federal government’s wheat procurement target of 1.4 million metric tons to 1.8 million metric tons.
Orders were issued by the Prime Minister to Pasco to increase the wheat procurement target and ensure immediate procurement. At the same time, instructions have been issued to PASCO to give priority to transparency and convenience of farmers regarding the procurement of wheat.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has taken this step considering the difficulties related to wheat purchase of farmers.
