Delhi: New records piled up in recent seasons due to the small boundaries in the IPL.

Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting therefore described the current situation as a nightmare.

5 of the 6 biggest totals in IPL history were made last month, 240 totals have been on the scoreboard 6 times this year, which has not happened in any previous season, the scoring rate has been 9.42 so far. It was 8.99 in 2023, 8.64 in 2018, 8.54 in 2022 and 8.41 in 2019.

The impact player law was introduced last year, in which a team can substitute any member at any stage during a match, adding to the problems.
