Karachi: Islamabad United got drenched in notes, bagged a check of Rs 14 crore along with the glittering trophy in HBL PSL 9.
In the final of HBL Pakistan Super League 9 played in Karachi, Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans by 2 wickets to become champions for the third time. He was right, along with a check of Rs 14 crore.
The Multan Sultans team, which faced defeat in the third consecutive final, received Rs 5 crore 60 lakh for being the runner-up. Islamabad’s Imad Wasim got the best player award in the decisive match, Islamabad United’s captain Shadab Khan was named the best player of the tournament, Irfan Niazi of Karachi Kings was declared the emerging player of the tournament.

The best batsman of the tournament was awarded to Osama Mir of Multan Sultans, while the best batsman award went to Matt Usman Khan, the best fielder of the tournament was Sh.
Azam Khan of Islamabad United was named the best wicket keeper of the season. Osama Mir, who took the most wickets, was awarded Fazal Mehmood Cap and Babar Azam, who scored most runs, was awarded with Hanif Muhammad Cap.
