Messages of the President and Prime Minister on Labor Day

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif issued their messages to the working class on the occasion of Labor Day.

According to the details, the President of the State and the Prime Minister in their respective messages acknowledged the services of the Pakistani workers and paid tribute to them and also acknowledged their services for the country.

President Asif Ali Zardari said to create a favorable environment for the working class in Pakistan where they are valued and respected, employers should take measures for fair wages, safety and health of workers.

He said that the International Labor Day is being celebrated to pay tribute to the workers and laborers who have made tireless efforts for the social and economic development of Pakistan. Tribute to the historical struggle.

The President said that May 1st is a reminder to strive for the rights of workers, their social security, fair wages and a safe working environment. And to ensure health.

He further said that the labor and working class in Pakistan are facing challenges such as inflation, rising cost of living, unemployment, and adverse effects of climate change. Measures should be initiated for safe environment, health facilities and educational facilities for children of workers.

Asif Zardari said that the state has an important role in ending the exploitation of workers, starting social security programs, implementing and implementing policies for the protection of rights. They acknowledge the services of their workers. Workers working in hazardous environments must be provided with necessary training and safety equipment.

The President hoped that the federal and provincial governments would play their role in protecting the rights of workers. He also said that there should be an end to exploitative practices and social security programs for workers.

Workers are shedding blood and sweat for the development of the country, Prime Minister

In his message issued by the Prime Minister House, Shahbaz Sharif paid tribute to those who work hard to earn halal sustenance and said that these people are playing their key role in the country’s economy and development, which not only They are feeding their family, but they are also shedding blood and sweat for the development of the country.

He said that in line with the manifesto of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, we are determined to promote the rights of the Pakistani workforce, take measures for the welfare of workers and harmonize the legislation for domestic workers with international standards. While ensuring occupational safety and health (Occupational Safety Health – OSH) in various sectors is the first priority of our government.

The prime minister said that we will soon organize a national labor conference for this purpose. Measures are also being taken at the government level to ratify the 176th Convention of the International Labor Organization on OSH in relation to mining. Its purpose is to ensure safety and health of miners during their work.

He said that Pakistan is currently going through a critical period economically and I am also well aware that the current inflation has affected our labor class the most, but the government is providing special subsidies, social security and poverty alleviation. It is trying hard to solve the problems of its economically weak countrymen through the programs of

Shahbaz Sharif said that we will continue our efforts to improve the living conditions of our workers by further promoting the welfare of our workers through better and low-cost housing, free education and health and social security measures. Through labour-friendly policies and initiatives, we will ensure that workers have an environment conducive to obtaining halal food. In this way, our workers will become the strength of Pakistan.

On this occasion, I will especially applaud the brave women who work alongside men in the society to earn a living for their families and salute their greatness.

The prime minister said that the sustainable economic development of Pakistan is the first priority of the government. We have to work hard consistently to get the economy on the path of recovery. We hope that the current positive trend of fiscal and economic stability will result in further growth in economic activities and creation of more employment opportunities, which will require skilled and talented manpower for full utilization and Government of Pakistan manpower. It has launched several projects to develop technical and professional skills for the youth of the country to bring them up to international standards.
