NAB reference against former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is over

Islamabad: NAB has withdrawn the reference against former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

Accountability Court Islamabad Judge Nasir Javed Rana heard the LNG reference against former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, in which the reference against all the accused including Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was withdrawn by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The court accepted NAB’s request to withdraw the reference. On this occasion, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi appeared in court with lawyers.

It should be noted that the NAB reference was under hearing in the accountability court against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and other accused. According to the sources, former MDPSO Imranul Haq had applied to NAB that this reference should not be made. On the request of Imran-ul-Haq, the NAB officials decided to withdraw the reference on merit.
