Nawaz Sharif withdrew from the Prime Ministership due to not getting the mandate, Muhammad Zubair

Lahore: Former Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair has said that Nawaz Sharif himself withdrew from the post of Prime Minister due to not getting a mediator in the 2023 elections.

Speaking on the Express News program Center Stage, Muhammad Zubair admitted that there was no remote possibility of PML-N winning before the 2023 elections, some people in the party made false assumptions and misrepresentations.

He said that it is a fact that Nawaz Sharif came to become the Prime Minister, but due to not getting a mandate in the elections, he withdrew and took the right decision. Muhammad Zubair criticized the performance of the PDM government after the no-confidence motion and said that the performance of the 16-month government was bad in all respects while the Muslim League-N was also divided into opposition which had narratives of reconciliation and resistance, Nawaz Sharif. Those who want politics today, the PML-N is not doing politics and the narrative of honoring the vote has been buried.

Criticizing the performance of the Shehbaz Sharif government, the former governor of Sindh said that the first 90 or 100 days of the government is a honeymoon period. did not want the government to take over, neither Nawaz Sharif nor Shehbaz Sharif, it was said that if the PML does not take the government, there will be negative effects for the country.

He said that no one is forced to sit on the post of government or prime minister at gunpoint, the basis on which PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif was called was a wrong opinion.

Muhammad Zubair, the former spokesperson of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz, further said that PML-N lost in the by-elections in Punjab in two governments, PTI won 16 seats in the elections out of 20 MPA seats in Punjab. In the by-elections on 10 seats of the Assembly, PML-N lost all the seats.

He said that PTI won in many by-elections, surveys were coming regarding the success of PTI, all these things were indicating that PTI would win, the real reason for taking away the symbol of the bat. PTI was winning.

Criticizing his tenure, he said that elections were not held in Punjab in 90 days. Not holding elections in 90 days was a violation of the constitution. It was strange that the assembly was dissolved 2 days before the completion of five years. .

Defending his party, Muhammad Zubair said that everything was going against the PML-N in 2018. In 2018, PML-N showed good performance in Punjab.

Criticizing the Shehbaz government, Muhammad Zubair said that the performance of the 16-month government under the leadership of Shehbaz Sharif was very bad in all respects. Shahbaz Sharif could not manage the affairs in 16 months government, still it was said that we will manage the affairs.

The former spokesperson of Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz clarified that when the PML-N was in the opposition, it had two narratives. One was reconciliation and the other was resistance. The party was badly divided. They were doing politics.

Shahbaz Sharif did not want the politics of resistance, Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz had the politics of resistance.

He said that he started politics of power to come to power by abandoning the trust of the people. This is not the politics that Nawaz Sharif has come to do. We have buried the narrative of honoring the vote. He said. If you sacrifice the principles, you will not be different from anyone else.
