New Cold War – Express Urdu

The American Congress has banned the popular Chinese mobile app Tik Tok in America and in this regard, the American Congress has passed the bill with an overwhelming majority.

About 170 million Americans, which is half of the population of the United States, were Tik Tok subscribers and now they are missing out on short videos from this popular Chinese app. America’s ban on TikTok has further strained relations between the US and China. On the same day that the US banned Tik Tok, the US passed a $100 billion military aid bill for Ukraine, Taiwan and Israel.

With these actions of the US, the impression is being made that a new alignment is going to take place in the world. Europe will definitely not agree that Ukraine should be defeated by Russia and in this regard, the head of the European Union has recently issued his statement. He says that if Ukraine loses the war with Russia, the security of Europe will face some concerns.

Against this backdrop, it is clear that the world is heading for a new Cold War. The world will then be divided into blocks. After the last cold war, in times of peace countries like ours used to organize and advance their foreign policy according to their domestic interests.

President of Iran Ibrahim Raisi visited Pakistan recently. During this visit, the spokesperson of the American White House advised these countries two or three times to avoid relations with Iran. Pressed by external debt, Pakistan has now applied for a new loan of eight billion dollars to the IMF, which is dominated by the US and European countries. In this situation, it is far-fetched for Pakistan to make an independent foreign policy. At present, Pakistan is not in such a position to anger America.

It is also a fact that many international sanctions are currently imposed on Iran. In the Iran-Pakistan gas line project, Iran has completed its part of the pipeline, but we are unable to complete the remaining part of the work because doing so may impose many restrictions on us, which our weak economy cannot bear. , so we have left this task unfinished. The Iranian president also did not mention the project during his visit, as he understands that Pakistan has its own constraints in this regard.

Currently, Pakistan is not a part of any bloc. In the past, Pakistan has been a part of the US bloc, SATO and CENTO, we have been a frontline state, from which the US and its allies have pursued their interests and in this regard Pakistan has paid a huge price. We would not have paid a heavy price if we were an ally of America, but the circumstances and contradictions that Pakistan came into existence in the background were that the political leadership of this country was in a big crisis. The power grab and internal war in Pakistan pushed us further into the Cold War.

Iran has launched missiles in Balochistan, in response Pakistan also launched missiles which hit their correct targets. Indian spy yesterday, Bhushan Yadav crossed the border of Iran and came into Pakistan, who was later arrested. We have repeatedly assured Iran that Pakistan’s borders will not be used against Iran. It is another matter that some non-state actors are not only being used against Iran, but they also pose a threat of terrorism to Pakistan. Is.

The contradictions in the Middle East are becoming deeper and more intense, and on the other hand, in Europe and Russia. The two contradictions, the tension between Europe and Russia and the simultaneous attacks on Gaza by Israel, are closely related. Taiwan and China are also in a state of intense conflict, and they also have North Korea among the contradictions. This new Cold War is in a sense an expression of the old way between the Soviet Union and the West, between liberal democracy, market economy or let’s say capitalism, that is, between the capitalist system and the socialist system. Communal values were left behind economically. These values gave birth to dictators like Stalin and Chow Sisko.

Internal accountability systems were weak in communal values, bureaucrats seized power, while the West had constitutions, human rights values, democracy. Thus one system of the world defeated another system. Even today, the bloc is dominated by dictatorships, be it Russia’s Putin or China’s one-party system or Iran. There are also countries in this block that are with the West but do not have a constitution, democratic values or any system, such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, or Egypt, and Israel is also in this block.

In the past Cold War, dictators like General Zia-ul-Haq sat with the Western bloc and there were also dictators in the Soviet Union who had communist ideology. Dictatorship flourished here because democratic forces were weak in these countries. The principle was that such dictators were avoided in both the US or the Western bloc and the Soviet Union bloc, but principles were not taken into account when these principles were in conflict with their interests. In the recent scenario, the situation in Pakistan is not clear. In which bloc is Pakistan and also because we are non-aligned, like India was in the past it was close to the Soviet Union but was not a part of that bloc.

After the Kerry Luger bill, our establishment complained to the US that the US has stopped talking to us directly like in the past. Our establishment adopted an Afghan policy to maintain its grip on power, maintaining relations with the Taliban. In view of the growing power of China, India became closer to the West and our closeness to China started knocking America.

Banning Tik Tok and approving $100 billion in military aid to Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel make it clear that US-China relations are going to be strained in the coming days. We can neither go to Iran nor to China. One aspect of the rebellion that was seen in Imran Khan’s government was the involvement of some Modi and some American thinking, because these two countries are afraid of Pakistan’s nuclear status.

At this time, on one hand, we are struggling to control our economic crisis, on the other hand, we are fighting to strengthen democracy, but we must also realize that the growing contradictions in the world can be new for us at any time. can create challenges.
