President Trophy grade two three day cricket tournament starting from May 12

The President Trophy grade two three-day cricket tournament will start from May 12. 23 teams will participate in the event. For “parachute” entry in Grade Two cricket, it has been made mandatory for the cricketers included in the departments to have played at least district level cricket.

After the restoration of departmental cricket in the country, competitions between departmental teams will also start next month at grade two level.

23 teams will participate in the three-day Grade Two cricket tournament, which has been divided into four groups.

To prevent any parachute entry in these departmental teams, PCB has made it mandatory for the selected players to play cricket at least at the district level.

The teams have also been instructed to include players who have played Pakistan U-19. The event, which will continue until June 11, will use Aslan balls.

According to the schedule prepared for the event, Pool A includes the teams of KPT, Ahmed Glass, Railways, Tara Group, Income Tax and Khayaban Amin. Pool A matches will be played in three different grounds in Lahore.

Pool B includes Air Force, Pak Saudi Group, MIT, Caravan CC, Saber Poultry and Ghani Institute. Pool B matches will be played in Swabi, Mardan and Peshawar.

Pool C teams include Army, OGDCL, CDA, Service Industry, GDW and Hydari Industry. The matches will be played in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

The matches of Navy, Umar Associates, Ishal Associates, Sardar Sports and Azlan Traders in Pool D will be played in Muridke and Sheikhupura.

The semi-finals will be held from June 3 to 5, while the finals will be held from June 8 to 11.
