PTI rejected the government’s commission of inquiry to investigate the judges’ letter.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rejected the federal government’s commission of inquiry to investigate the letter of six judges of Islamabad High Court.

An emergency meeting of the core committee of PTI was held in which it was stated that PTI expressed concern over the meeting of Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on a sensitive issue and to place the matter before a larger bench. And reiterated the demand for action in open court.

According to the statement, the letter of the judges of the Islamabad High Court is an indictment against the government, the investigation by a retired judge is a mockery of a transparent investigation. In the letter, the judges exposed the fundamental challenge to the existence of the judiciary.

PTI said that the government that came into being on the basis of the public mandate is a beneficiary government, a large beneficiary government of ongoing lawlessness and interference in the country.

The core committee said that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, sitting on the mandate of theft, is not capable of conducting such an investigation. The Chief Justice of Pakistan should provide justice to his fellow judges for the future of the judiciary.

The declaration demanded that a judicial conference should be convened in the light of the judges’ demand, that judges of all levels should be given an opportunity to present the facts on the subject before the nation.

The federal government has announced the formation of an inquiry commission based on the letter written by six judges of the Islamabad High Court.

In this regard, Prime Minister of Law Nazir Tarar said that the Prime Minister and the Chief Justice of Pakistan discussed important national issues.

Azam Nazir Tarar, while announcing the formation of a commission of inquiry, said that a commission should be formed on the letter and an impartial retired person should prepare a report on it. An impartial judicial personality will be entrusted with the inquiry.
