Sindh government’s decision to publish names of tax evaders in newspapers

The Sindh government has decided to publish the names of tax evaders in newspapers.

Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Secretary Salim Rajput and others participated in the meeting presided over by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon.

Sharjeel Memon said that tax evaders are enemies of country’s prosperity, they will not be spared, the names of tax evaders will be published in newspapers.

Sharjeel Memon said that measures will also be taken to freeze the accounts of tax evaders.

Sharjeel Memon appreciated the crackdown on drug peddlers in the province and gave instructions to speed up the crackdown on drug peddlers.

Sharjeel Memon said that drug peddlers are enemies of the future of the country and the nation, there will be no leniency with drug peddlers.

He said that competent police officers and jawans will be brought to Excise Department on deputation, initially officers in Karachi and Hyderabad will be brought to Excise on deputation.

Sharjeel Memon said that actions against drugs should be intensified, related institutions will cooperate, prosecution and investigation of drug dealers should be strengthened.

Apart from this, it was also decided to give prizes to the best performing officers and informers in the meeting.

In the meeting, it was suggested to do registration and transfer of vehicles under biometric.
