Statistics of women associated with the justice sector continue

Islamabad: The Law and Justice Commission has released the statistics of women involved in the justice sector.

According to the data, there are 3142 judges across the country, of which 572 are women, while the number of women judges is 18%.

There are only 7 women judges in the Supreme Court and High Courts while the total number of judges in the High Courts across the country is 126. There are 2451 male judges and 565 female judges in the district judiciary.

The total number of lawyers across the country is 230,897, including 40,000 women, while there are 2,210 prosecutors, including 341 women.
