Terrorism in shopping mall, six people killed

Sydney: In a shopping mall in the city of Sydney, Australia, six people have been killed in an attack by an accused armed with a knife, while the condition of an injured child is critical.

Global media According to the report The attacker was shot dead on the spot by a police officer, five women and one man were killed in the attack.

Explaining the details of the incident at the Westfield Bondoy Junction shopping mall in Sydney, Assistant Commissioner Anthony Cooke said that a female police officer was present near the scene of the attack and when she tried to arrest the assailant, she Tried to stab them.

According to the Assistant Commissioner, on the fifth floor of the shopping mall, the woman police officer shot the assailant in self-defence, killing him.

The Sydney police arrived at the scene and safely pulled out thousands of trapped citizens and the injured were admitted to a local hospital. One of the injured children is in critical condition.

The shopping mall has been cordoned off by the police and people have been asked to stay away from the area.
