The biggest problem in the world right now is inequality, Prime Minister

Lahore: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that inequality is the biggest problem in the world at the moment.

Shahbaz Sharif, speaking in a session regarding the global health agenda at the World Economic Forum, said that in 2003, I had cancer, I had an operation in New York, thousands of dollars were spent on the treatment, so I got rid of the cancer in Pakistan. The patients thought that how many people are able to get it treated, many of our citizens cannot get expensive treatment, after the Chief Minister of Punjab was elected, we built government hospitals for kidney, liver and cancer in the province.

Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the biggest problem today is global inequality, this imbalance has been further highlighted by Covid.

He said that climate change has also changed the scenario completely, Pakistan has no share in global carbon emissions, but still we are included in the red list, it has affected Pakistan a lot, in the flood of 2022. Pakistan was destroyed and we had to spend billions of rupees for the rehabilitation of the people, when we asked for help from international funds in this regard, they offered us very expensive loans which we could not afford.

Shahbaz Sharif said that in 2011, dengue affected Pakistan a lot, then I did not know much about dengue, it was a challenge, we gathered experts and consulted them, I sent machines through airplanes. Reach out to remote areas, after intensive efforts, we managed to control dengue.
