There will be no compromise with May 9 planners and facilitators, ISPR

Rawalpindi: Spokesman Pakistan Army has said that there will be no compromise with the planners and facilitators of May 9.

The Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR) has said that the position of the Pakistan Army on the tragedy of May 9 (Black Day) is very clear. The Armed Forces of Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Services Chiefs strongly condemn the criminal acts committed on May 9 (Black Day).

According to the spokesman, on this dark day in our national history, politically motivated and brainwashed miscreants staged a coup and deliberately resorted to violence against state institutions. These miscreants deliberately vandalized the state’s sacred symbols and national heritage sites in a failed attempt to bring about a self-imposed and narrow-minded revolution in the country.

The ISPR statement said that the armed forces of Pakistan foiled the dastardly plot of the saboteurs and their masterminds as well as their masterminds by showing utmost restraint. The main objective of these evil elements was to destabilize Pakistan by creating chaos and provoking conflict between the people and the armed forces.

After failing to undermine national harmony and stability, the plotters, facilitators and perpetrators of the violence launched a nefarious campaign of hatred against the armed forces and the state, according to the Pakistan Army spokesperson. These miscreants have also tried to distort the narrative to exonerate themselves in a shameful way and blame the state institutions.

According to the ISPR, for the same reasons, the planners, facilitators and perpetrators of the May 9 tragedy cannot be compromised nor will they be allowed to flout the law. Bringing the real perpetrators of May 9 to justice is to ensure that no one in the future dares to desecrate the memory of our heroes and the symbols of our unity through similar wrongdoing.

According to the spokesman, today the armed forces of Pakistan renew their commitment to defend the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Pakistan and to thwart the nefarious intentions of Pakistan’s internal and external enemies. Our martyrs and their families are the pride of Pakistan. Armed forces of Pakistan are committed to uphold their dignity and honor at all costs. The armed forces of Pakistan have a very special relationship with the people of Pakistan. Let us today strongly condemn the conspiracies to weaken Pakistan and work together for the prosperity and stability of our beloved country.
