Approval to increase Pasco’s wheat procurement target from 1.4 lakh tonnes to 1.8 lakh tonnes

With the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet approving an increase in Pasco’s wheat procurement target by 4 lakh tonnes, the target has been increased from 1.4 lakh tonnes to 1.8 lakh tonnes.

A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet chaired by Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb was held where it was approved to increase the target of wheat purchase and release an amount of Rs. The summary related to has been delayed.

An 18-point agenda was considered in the ECC meeting. According to sources, the Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has approved the release of Rs 127 billion 50 crore for the power sector, under which advance subsidy for K-Electric. 70 billion rupees will be released.

He said that 55 billion rupees will be released to eliminate the difference in the tariff of Azad Kashmir, besides a supplementary grant of 2.50 billion rupees will be released for the power division.

According to sources, a special relief package has also been approved for daily wage workers at Chaman border, while the summary of urea fertilizer requirements for Kharif crop has been delayed by the ECC.

Sources related to the decisions taken in the meeting said that the release of money to pay the salaries of steel mills employees from January to June and a supplementary grant of 4 billion 86 crore rupees to the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission has also been approved.

The ECC has also approved the reshuffle of the Next Generation Mobile Broadband Service Spectrum Advisory Committee.
