Big increase in sales tax on CNG by Rs 65 per kg

Islamabad:The government has hiked the sales tax on compressed natural gas (CNG) supply by Rs 65 per kg.

According to Express News, the Federal Board of Revenue has issued a notification of GST on supply value to CNG consumers.

According to the notification, the sales tax value for Region One has been increased from Rs 140 to Rs 200, while for Region Two, the sales tax value has been increased from Rs 135 to Rs 200 per kg.

FBR says that Region One includes Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Gujar Khan while Region Two includes other cities of Sindh and Punjab.
