Washington: A high-speed vehicle crashed into the entrance of the White House, the official residence and office of the US President, resulting in the death of the driver.
According to the World News Agency, the security of the White House was alerted after this incident.
The security agencies called an emergency meeting and started an investigation as to how the vehicle reached the gate despite such tight security.
The body of the driver, whose identity has not yet been revealed, was found in the vehicle. The body was shifted to the hospital for post-mortem. This is the second incident in four months that a car has crashed into the White House gates.
The statement issued by the White House administration said that the preliminary investigation of the car collision incident did not find evidence of terrorism involvement, but the investigation process is still ongoing.
It should be remembered that on January 9 this year, a vehicle crashed into the White House gate, the driver of which was also detained, but the investigation was not carried out.
Similarly, in December last year, a person hit his car with the car of US President Joe Biden’s convoy. The driver was drunk and was arrested.
