Electricity is more expensive for the entire country including Karachi

It is a bad news for the people who are worried about inflation that electricity has been made more expensive for the entire country including Karachi.

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved to increase the price of electricity by Rs 2.75 paise per unit. Approval was given for the quarterly adjustment of the current year.

Nepra sent the decision to increase the price of electricity to the federal government. Nepra says additional collections from consumers will be made in April, May and June.

The increase in the price of electricity will also be applied to the electricity consumers. The increase will put an additional burden of 85 billion 20 crore rupees on the consumers.
