Guest month day and evening

The lessons of this month that teach ‘organized life’ should be remembered throughout the year. Photo: File

Lahore: “Get up, sleepers, it’s time for Suhoor” and as soon as they hear this voice, the closed doors and windows of people in the streets start opening. Sunny streets wake up. The entire neighborhood woke up as if there was no sleep.

A light burning from house to house would announce that everyone had woken up for Suhoor, and wherever it was dark, they would go to the house and immediately ask, “Well, the light didn’t go on in your house today, and whoever wakes up at Suhoor due to sleeplessness.” could not He also gets up and fasts and receives the blessings of Suhoor according to this hadith: “There is a blessing in Suhoor, so don’t miss it at all.” If nothing else, one sip of water should be taken at that time.

What sincerity and love there was, how people were tied together by the strings of love and affection, they were companions in each other’s sorrows. The distance between the houses would be far, but the distance between the hearts is so short that even if they sneeze, they would run away. At that time, it was only a matter of time. Those voices, those people all became things of the past. When it got lost in mobile, TV, it was heard in the streets.

As the times changed, the colors changed, the way of living and socializing also changed. The walls of the houses became higher, so the distance between the hearts also increased. People automatically distanced themselves from each other and became engrossed in themselves and their world, and those people who were the epitome of these splendors, were the center, were believed, were the soul, were the identity, became a forgotten story.

Those faces became dreams, the rising walls took away the beauty of their individuality, which forced them to ask each other’s well-being from time to time. The simple life of the simple people, covered with the cloak of complexity, swallowed the naturalness, which was the characteristic of the people of that time, has been taken by the alienation of love and affection.

Today, one does not know what is happening in the house next to one’s house. The irony of time is that the splendor of the past days is slowly disappearing. The lack of dear love, neither that love, nor selfless sincerity and love. Those people who threw their lives on each other and sacrificed on the friendship relationships, where did they go that they cannot be seen even by looking for them. Once a lonely person was also in a crowd and today he is alone in this crowded crowd.

Those blessings of Ramadan still yearn for the sound of the same drum, whose countless songs used to bring us closer to each other and keep us informed. This echo of the past still echoes the love of the people in their heads. People who used to share the joys of Ramadan with each other and were happy.

While swinging in these childhood memories, the scene of his four-storied mansion suddenly appeared like this, on which one would have seen the well-being of the entire neighborhood within minutes by peering through the seven-walled wall of the big one. At the time of breaking the fast, the smell of the pakoras would reach from one house to another as if you were carrying a large tray, something covered with a tablecloth or a handkerchief, and thus he might get the equivalent reward of a fasting person. is not attempted.

That concept of splendor that started from Suhoor would have reached its peak by Iftar. If someone sent something for Iftar today, then tomorrow something would be sent in the same vessel. Sending an empty vessel was considered unblessed and if nothing else, dates, jalebis and samosas were distributed in such a way that we felt as if every day was Eid and every night was Shab-e-Barat, and while enjoying these splendors, we too, when we were children, were happy. The first fast is observed and on this first fast the “fasting” is not forgotten.

Our Ao Bhagat that felt like flying in the sky, such a strong heart, a big garland of flowers around the neck, that whole family gathering, loving us, those ten, ten new shiny rupees in our hands, Ami Abu. Taking calls and giving prayers, giving charity to our brothers and sisters, we felt as if we had not fasted, but had conquered a world.

Lost in these forgotten memories, the strong slogan of her daughter Aisha, “Farah, hurry up, it’s time for suhoor.” brought us back to her world, and Farah jumped up from the bed and said, “Oh, baby.” Bhai Sambhal, there is still an hour left for Suhoor to end.

Farah was satisfied with my consolation and stared angrily at Ayesha, who was standing far away, smiling, and while being amused by both of us, she started thinking that thanks to God, the same blessings of Ramadhan suhoor are still present in our homes today. All are stories of changing times. In line with the changes of time, with the new demands of the new era, the splendors of Sahri are now seen making noise.

Sahri “The beating of the fasting heart” which is heard in every house in the early morning. It wakes up the sutras in such a way that the one who sees them immediately meets his eyes, washes his hands and mouth, and tries to get the reward by contributing to Suhri.

This is evidenced by the reluctance and indecisiveness of all Suharis, from adults to children, especially children’s reluctance to get up and fast on their own, where it is difficult to pick them up to send them to school. , one has to do a lot of hard work, then they go somewhere and open their eyes and where a little light goes on or someone moves their shoulder by mistake, they immediately sit up with eyes meeting.

No hesitation, no crying, immediately jumped out of bed in front of everyone, busy eating and sometimes two or two parathas are eaten with great gusto and that too with anything, curry, Yogurt, Kebab, whatever you like are eaten with great enthusiasm, otherwise, in normal circumstances, hundreds of excuses are made even for breakfast. Don’t eat this, don’t eat that, and the mothers keep crying, “O brother, eat and drink something, then go. And where we intend to fast as soon as we hear the call to prayer, then when everyone stands humbly for prayer, he praises it.” And they confess their servitude

Prayer is better than sleep, so we are sacrificed for the glory of Allah and the blessing of Suhoor. Seeing the whole house praying together like this, the feeling of the sanctity of Ramadan becomes a little bit more that on normal days, when one sleeps until 10 o’clock in the day and is deprived of the blessings of morning prayer, then wake up at those times. For the pleasure of God, there is such an active action that the sleeping moments wake up. From the small to the old, they are filled with this good blessing while getting this happiness.

In this atmosphere of sanctity, where sleep flies away from hunger, after the praise of God and worship, the recitation of the Holy Quran fills the sky in every house. As a child, we used to go to sleep, but the sound of Ami Jan’s recitation was constantly in our ears. The recitation of the Qur’an at the time of dawn, which gives us peace and comfort and creates a halo of light and faith around us, does not become our destiny during the rotation of eleven months, nor does it become available to us in the running of the world.

It is a fact that the atmosphere and atmosphere you see in the holy month of Ramadan at the time of Sehri and Iftar is not seen after Ramadan despite efforts. Try a million times, but there is a chance that someone will miss the toss and bother to wake up with a dark face. Indeed, this is the wonder of Ramadan, because in normal days, even a small glimpse of it is not visible.

Indeed, every hour of Ramadan has such blessings and happiness that all the hours of the remaining eleven months cannot compete with it even one hour. What is Ramadan, then my Ummah should wish that it remains Ramadan all year long.

While the hours from fasting to breaking the fast teach us to be punctual, by imposing restrictions on all parts of the body, fasting not only teaches us self-control, but also patience. It is also a great test which is difficult to capture in words.

Iftar is the scene of his patience and discipline and the maturity of his faith, that the enjoyment of Suhoor is in its place, but Allah gives him the pleasure of Iftar, and that moment of Iftar, everyone sitting around the dinner table and being anxious for the call to prayer. Food and drink are the greatest needs of a human being and not touching them when these blessings are in front of you, after a day of hunger and thirst when the bowels are questioning or the throat is dry due to thirst and on the table or on the table in front of you. Various choices have been made, but still the main message is not to touch anything.

Who will be unlucky who does not suffer hunger and thirst for a while for the sake of the guest of his Lord, and you and the children bear with the elders, so see that no one stopped them and said, “Don’t eat this, don’t eat that.” At this time, the scholars are waiting, so please see that this is the situation that even while doing Kuli, it is necessary to be careful that the water goes into the mouth and leaves the throat thirsty and comes back out so that we do not miss out on the reward of fasting.

The time of Suhoor, which is the time of Tahajjud, read Nawafil a little before, it is the time of acceptance of dua. At that time, no work of the world, no thought comes between you and the Lord and your singleness at that time can be the cause of forgiveness. In this lightning-fast journey of life, Ramadan invites us to pause for guidance, spirituality, forgiveness, repentance and forgiveness. Filling his cradle with the blessings and blessings of Suhoor and Iftar in his entire month, he observes full thirty fasts while circling it, and in the odd nights of the last decade, “Shab Qadr” brings the reward of a thousand months of worship in one night.

How great is the favor of God Almighty to the Ummah of Muhammad (PBUH) that He has given us that blessed month which does not allow us to be oblivious to the feeling of “God’s servitude” even for a moment. By guiding us step by step with our hadiths on Suhoor and Iftar, blessing us with its immense splendor, taking our every step according to religion, walking and reminding us of the Holy Quran by reminding us of all the prayers for success in the Hereafter. Taking with him all the blessings, blessings and splendors of the dawn and iftar, he says, “The month of Ramadan is a month of great blessings, and the message is of great blessings for the believers.” May the Lord grant us all the opportunity to be blessed with his virtues and the blessings of Suhoor and Iftar. Amen.
