Increase in heat intensity in Sindh and Punjab

The weather will continue to be hot and dry in most parts of the country today, the heat has increased in various cities of Sindh and Punjab.

On Sunday, the highest temperature in the country was recorded in Nawabshah, Mohenjodaro and Jacobabad at 43 degrees Celsius.

Khairpur, Sukkur 42, Turbat, Sibi 40, Multan, Bahawalpur, Faisalabad and Sargodha 39, Lahore, Dera Ismail Khan 38 and Karachi recorded 36 degrees Celsius.

Peshawar, Muzaffarabad 35, Islamabad 34, Gilgit 30 and Quetta recorded a maximum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius.

The meteorological department has instructed the citizens to stay outside in the afternoon hours, stay in shady places and drink more water.
