O Muslim Ummah! ; The call of Al-Aqsa Mosque

Muslims have a very deep and strong relationship with Al-Aqsa Mosque and the land of Bait-ul-Maqdis.

This blessed and holy land of Bait al-Maqdis has been a center of devotion for Muslims. According to the belief of Muslims, this place on earth is the Qiblah of the countless Prophets who lived before the Prophet ﷺ. This is the first Qibla of the Prophet himself.

Before the Kaaba, he used to worship Allah Wahida Lasharik by turning his head towards the Kaaba. After the order of prayer was revealed, Muslims turned towards Bait-ul-Maqdis and prayed for sixteen or seventeen months. That is, Bayt al-Maqdis was the Qibla of the Muslims for one year and five months, as Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib ra narrates, meaning: “We prayed with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for sixteen or seventeen months facing Bayt al-Maqdis, then Our face was turned towards the Kaaba. (Sahih Muslim, Sahih Al-Bukhari)

But when the following verse was revealed, meaning: “We see your (PBUH) face repeatedly rising towards the sky.” So We turn you (PBUH) to the Qiblah that you like. So now turn your face towards Masjid al-Haram (Kaaba). And (O Muslims!) wherever you live, turn your face towards Masjid Haram in prayer. (Surat al-Baqarah)

After the revelation of this verse, the Kaaba became the Qibla of Muslims, therefore Bait al-Maqdis is considered the first Qibla of Muslims.

Hazrat Abu Dharr narrates that he asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ whether it is better to pray in Bait al-Maqdis or in the Prophet’s Mosque. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, Meaning: “My one prayer in this mosque is more excellent than four prayers there.” The reward of one prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque was equal to the reward of 250 prayers.

On the authority of Sayyidina Abu Huraira, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, Meaning: “It is not permissible to travel to any place in the world with the intention of reward and blessings, except for the Al-Haram Mosque, the Prophet’s Mosque, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.” (Narrated by al-Bukhari) and Muslim)

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr narrates that the Prophet ﷺ while describing the glory of Al-Aqsa Mosque said, meaning: “And Al-Aqsa Mosque is the best place to pray. Hashr is the land of the Sun, and a time will soon come upon the people when a space equal to a whip or a space equal to a man’s bow from which he can see Bait al-Maqdis will be better and dearer to him than all the things of the world. (Sahih al-Turghib)

The resident of the city of Bait al-Maqdis has a reward equal to Mujahid fi Sabeel Allah. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, meaning: “A group of my ummah will always prevail while remaining firm on the truth and will continue to subjugate its enemies. No one will be able to harm the enemy except by He will be tested little by little until the Day of Resurrection will come and he will remain in this state forever. Where will these people be from?

The Prophet ﷺ replied: “These people will be residents of Bayt al-Maqdis or they will be in the outskirts and corners of Bayt Al-Maqdis.”

Bayt al-Maqdis is also a blessed and auspicious region in the sense that the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, made a special prayer for blessing in the name of the land of Syria. Hazrat Abdullah bin Umar narrates that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said while supplicating, meaning: “O Allah! Bless our Syria and Yemen.” (Al-Bukhari)

All the above hadiths are related to various religious worships and their rewards, and all these worships are related to Bait-ul-Maqdis, it is known that Muslims have a strong relationship and relationship with Bait-ul-Maqdis of worship and service that lasts until the Day of Resurrection. Can never end. As long as there is a single Muslim alive in the universe, this relationship of worship will also remain permanent.

When the Islamic army under the leadership of Hazrat Abu Ubaidah Amir Bin Al-Jarrah RA conquered Bait-ul-Maqdis, the second Caliph Hazrat Umar Bin Al-Khattab RA entered the city of Bait-ul-Maqdis. The elders of Rome welcomed Sayyiduna Umar Farooq upon his arrival and handed over the keys of Bait al-Maqdis to him without any resistance. When Sayyiduna Umar bin Al-Khattab reached Bait-ul-Maqdis, he made an agreement with the people of Bait-ul-Maqdis, which is known in the history of Islam as the Covenant of Umrah. (Fatuh al-Buldan)

Until the conquest of Jerusalem and the signing of the Treaty of Umrah, there were no relations between Muslims and Jews in Jerusalem. The treaty is the clearest and most famous document in the history of the world. (Tarikh al-Tabari) The Muslims ruled this city from Fatah Umari until 1967 AD, then came the time when Jerusalem was under the control of the Jews for a period of 88 years. Then Salahuddin Ayubi freed him from the oppression and domination of the Jews in the year 583 Hijri.

During the reign of the Arabs and Muslims, with the blessing of Islam, provision of justice and justice for Muslims and non-Muslims, restoration and stability of law and order, and security and protection of life and property of the citizens became possible in Bait Al-Maqdis. The duty of the Muslim Ummah is, on the one hand, the virtues and ranks of this great mosque and this area, the right of which was that the Muslim Ummah, who was awarded the honor of the last and best Ummah by Allah Almighty, should value this holy mosque, this blessed mosque. would keep it inhabited by religious rituals and free from all kinds of disbelief and Jewish domination, but today the Muslims of this holy land are suffering from severe trials, they are facing all kinds of painful situations there.

Jewish oppressors are trampling them with all kinds of weapons, killing children, demolishing houses, desecrating the sanctity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, all these situations require all Muslim leaders to take responsibility for their personal actions. Let’s agree and unite above differences and national interests, and feel the grief and pain of these oppressed Palestinian Muslims and make a firm determination and declaration of Jihad to respond to the aggression of these infidels.

If we become true Muslims and become like one body, as the beloved Prophet of Allah, peace be upon him, said that a Muslim is a brother of a Muslim. The Muslim Ummah is like a body. Then no power of the world can subdue us. If we do not do this, then our story will not be among the stories.

Ya Allah! Cleanse the Al-Aqsa Mosque from the impure hands of tyrants, rebels and usurpers, eliminate the weakness and weakness of the Palestinian Muslims, give them strength, defeat the plans of their enemies. Amen
