Doha: Qatar won the award of the world’s best airport by defeating Singapore, which won the title of the world’s best airport 12 times.

According to the international news agency, Hamad International Airport of Qatar has received the award of Sky World Airport Awards 2024. Singapore’s Changi Airport, which has been ranked number one for 12 times, is at number two this year.

Qatar’s Hamad International Airport handled 45 million passengers last year, an increase of 31 percent compared to 2022 due to the FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

South Korea’s airport is third and Tokyo’s two airports are on the fourth and fifth positions, while Paris is on the sixth position and Dubai International Airport is on the 7th position.

Similarly, Munich is at 8th place, Zurich at 9th place and Istanbul Airport at 2nd place.

The SkyWorld Airport list is compiled in the light of a survey that ranks airports based on building, facilities, decoration, number of flights and management.

Qatar Airport surpasses other airports in the world due to its modern design and best provided to passengers.
