The plan to transfer Dubai Airport to Al Maktoum Airport in the next ten years is ready

A plan has been drawn up to transfer all Dubai Airport operations to Dubai’s Al Maktoum Airport in the next 10 years.

The ruler of Dubai shared the plan for the transfer of Dubai Airport on social media. The design of the new passenger terminals at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport has been approved.

The construction cost of the new terminal will be 128 billion dirhams. 260 million passengers can be handled annually from Al-Mutakum Airport.

At the future airport, 5 runways will be able to operate parallel flights at the same time, 400 planes will be able to serve passengers at the same time at the future airport. New aviation technologies will be used for the first time in the aviation sector at the airport.

The new city “Dubai South” will be built around the Al-Mutakum Airport, residential facilities for 1 million people will be provided in Dubai South.

Be aware that Dubai’s Al Mutacom Airport has been hosting the Dubai Air Show for the past 10 years. Dubai Al Mutaqum Airport started operations with cargo flights in 2010.

Al Mutacom Airport of Dubai is located 60 km away from the existing Dubai Airport. Limited passenger flights also depart from Dubai Al Maktoum International Airport today.
