According to the details, in the meeting of the Punjab Assembly, Minister of Parliamentary Affairs Mujtaba Shujaur Rehman presented a resolution regarding the May 9 tragedy. As soon as the resolution was presented in the House, the opposition members protested by standing up from their seats and surrounded the speaker’s dais.
Meanwhile, the opposition members tore the copies of the resolution and waved them in the house, while the government and the opposition members also started fighting, the resolution was passed during this noise.
In the text of the resolution, it is said that on the heartbreaking day of November, a group of miscreants attacked the institutions of Watan Aziz in the guise of politics and set fire to the residence of the founder of Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam.
It has been said in the resolution that on May 9, an attempt was made to harm the reputation of the country at the international level, but the national institutions foiled the conspiracy and saved the country from a major disaster.
It is written in the resolution that the House demands that those responsible and planners of May 9 tragedy be brought to justice. After completing the agenda of the Punjab Assembly meeting, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan adjourned the meeting till 2 pm tomorrow.
On the other hand, in the meeting of the Sindh Assembly, Provincial Interior Minister Zia-ul-Hasan Linjar presented a resolution condemning the May 9 tragedy, which was approved by the House by a majority vote. After which the Speaker adjourned the meeting of the Sindh Assembly for an indefinite period.
