The Spring of Goodness – Express Urdu

Ramadan is a very blessed month. In this blessed month, the mercy of Allah becomes like the ocean while beating and every good deed gets rewarded seventy times.

It is a fact that one cannot benefit from any exercise without planning and mental preparation. Keeping in mind the same human psychology, the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) also delivered a eloquent sermon on the last day of Sha’ban, in which he mentioned the virtues of Ramadan along with its characteristics and advised him to earn more good deeds in it. of

Hazrat Salman Farsi narrates that on the last day of the month of Sha’ban, the Messenger of Allah ï·º gave us an important sermon and in it he said: “O people! A great and blessed month is shadowing you, one night of which is better than a thousand months. “

In Surah Al-Baqarah, the obligation of fasting in this month has also been announced:

“So whoever among you finds this month, it is obligatory on him to fast.”

Fasting in this month is obligatory, while staying at night is a cause of great reward and reward despite being nafl. Qiyaam al-Lail is applied to at least one-third of the night in the light of the verses of Surah Al-Muzmal, but since the time of the Caliphs, its minimal system has been practiced within the Ummah and that is the system of Taraweeh. This Qiyam al-Lil is a source of great reward and excellence.

The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever performs any non-obligatory worship (i.e. Sunnah or Nafl) in this month to gain the pleasure of Allah and His nearness, he will receive the same reward as the obligations of other times.” And the reward of performing a duty in this month will be equal to seventy duties of other times.

Whatever good a person does should be purely for the pleasure of Allah, because if the intention is for hypocrisy and fame, then that good will be wasted. In this month, the reward of Nafl performed with sincerity is equal to that of Fard and the reward of one Fard is equal to seventy Fards. That is why this month is called the spring of goodness.

Mentioning the characteristics of this month, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “This is the month of patience and the reward of patience is Paradise.” It stops from Sadiq till sunset. This stopping is actually training in patience and piety.

There is a tendency to overstep the limits in human desires, while piety means that a person should refrain from forbidden things throughout the year, refrain from sin and refrain from negativity, this is called patience. We think that bearing any pain or trouble with a smile is patience, whereas in reality the meaning of patience is very comprehensive and comprehensive. Imam Raghib Isfahani has set three levels of patience:

(1) To restrain oneself from sins.

(2) Commitment to obedience, servitude and religious duties.

(3) Patience in difficulties and hardships.

Especially to endure the hardships that come in the stages of the struggle for Iqamah Deen, to endure and then show persistence. From this point of view, it is as if the whole religion is included in the interpretation of patience. This is the reason why patience has been described as a means of Paradise in many places in the Holy Quran.

Another characteristic of this blessed month is that it is a month of compassion and mourning. Feelings of grief and sympathy are born in this month. Probably the reason for this is that when people from well-to-do and well-to-do families fast, they feel at least as much as those who live in poverty.

The third characteristic of this month is that it is the month in which the sustenance of the believers is increased. In general, some people shy away from fasting because not being able to work all day will affect our performance and thus reduce our earnings. This apprehension has been dispelled that is not the case at all. A believer should be sure that his sustenance will not decrease due to fasting, even if the performance is less than normal days.

The Holy Prophet said: “Whoever makes a fasting person break his fast in it, it will be a means of forgiveness for his sins and freedom from the Hellfire, and he will be given the same reward as the fasting person, without There should be a reduction in the reward.

Here we should stop for a moment and think who are the most deserving of our sympathy and grief. ?

The answer is surely that those who deserve our sympathy are the people of the society who do not even get two meals a day on normal days. If you break their fast, we cannot imagine the atmosphere of brotherhood that will be created in the society.

The most profound sermon of the Holy Prophet was going on when Hazrat Salman Farsi, as if in the middle, asked this question: “O Messenger of Allah! Each one of us does not have the equipment to break the fast.” On this, the Holy Prophet said: “Allah will give this reward to the person who eats a little milk or a date or only water. Break the fast of a fasting person on a sip of it. And whoever feeds a fasting person full meal, Allah will water him from my tank (Kawsar) in such a way that he will never feel thirsty until he reaches Paradise. “

There is a message here between the lines that the one who does not have anything, if he shares a glass of water, milk or lassi with someone, then this is a matter of great reward and reward. But if the case is that the dishes are decorated for oneself and others are being made to break the fast on two sips of sherbet or lassi, then this is not a preferred practice. The real thing in this regard is that its practical interpretation should come out and we should actually implement it.

The Messenger of Allah (PBUH) divided this month into three parts and mentioned the different characteristics of each decade: “The first part of this blessed month is mercy, the middle part is forgiveness and the last part is freedom from hell fire.”

The last words of the most important sermon regarding the reception of Ramadan are:

“And the person who reduces the work of his slave and servant in this month, Allah will forgive him and give him release and freedom from hell.”

It is also a manifestation of sympathy and grief to reduce the responsibilities of the subordinates.

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “How many are fasting that they do not get anything from fasting except hunger and thirst?” If he does not stop talking and acting on it, Allah does not need him to stop eating and drinking. In fact, fasting is that which is observed with complete etiquette and conditions.

Ramadan is indeed a month of rain of good deeds. In this month, if we work hard and train ourselves in the true sense, then there is no other way to change it, and if we are deprived of Allah’s mercy and forgiveness in this month too, then there is no one who is more unfortunate than us. can not be.

In fact, there are two parallel programs of Ramadan, one is fasting during the day and the other is staying at night. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) said: “Whoever fasts in Ramadan with faith and hope of reward, all his past sins are forgiven, and whoever stays up during (the nights of) Ramadan (to listen and recite the Qur’an). ) With faith and hope of reward and reward, all his previous sins are forgiven, and whoever stood in Lailatul-Qadr (to listen and recite the Qur’an) with faith and hope of reward and reward, all his previous sins were also forgiven. Mistakes are forgiven.”

Similarly, in another hadith, he said: Fasting and the Qur’an (on the Day of Resurrection) will intercede for the servant. Fasting will say: O Lord! I restrained this person from eating and drinking during the day and from the desires of the self, so accept my intercession for him. And the Qur’an will say: O Lord! I prevented him from sleeping and resting at night, so accept my intercession for him. Therefore, the intercession of both (fasting and the Qur’an) will be accepted in favor of the servant and Paradise and forgiveness will be decided for him.
