To protect the passengers, there will be an official in each vehicle, Chief Minister Balochistan

Quetta: The Chief Minister of Balochistan has said that to ensure the safety of the passengers, one official will ride in each vehicle while the buses will also be checked at the check post.

According to the details, a representative delegation of transporters had a meeting with Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti in which he informed about their concerns and problems.

The Chief Minister assured the transporters to solve their legitimate problems and clarified that the anti-smuggling operation will continue and joint check posts will be established and the checking of vehicles will continue.

He said that protest is the constitutional right of every citizen, however, blocking the highways is an illegal measure and if people are inconvenienced by blocking the highways, then the law will come into action.

He said that Levies and policemen will not be authorized to search in anti-trafficking. The Chief Minister directed the Home Department not to stop the passenger buses at the joint check post for more than 15 to 20 minutes.

The provincial government has also decided to appoint a security officer in every passenger vehicle for the protection of passengers.
